Residential Field Technician (South Austin)

Residential Field Technician Burnett is excited to be partnering with a growing specialty contractor who specializes in softscape and hardscape services for newly developed communities. Typical projects involve entryways, recreation areas, amenity centers, and common areas. They have an immediate need for a motivated Residential Field Technician to join their expanding team in South Austin. This role involves quality control inspections related to landscape and irrigation, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained in residential projects.Responsibilities: Field Responsibilities:Perform quality control walks and inspections for landscape and irrigation installationsAttach warranty stickers with completion dates on controllers, including irrigation maps and watering schedulesVerify programming on irrigation controllers to ensure correct start times and watering daysTest and inspect all irrigation zones, checking heads, bubblers, and other componentsTake photos of any broken heads, lines, or other issues, and mark them clearly for repairsAdjust irrigation heads, nozzles, and bubblers when necessaryEnsure landscaping installations meet project standards, including plant placement and tree installationsCheck the depth, root barriers, and wiring for trees to ensure proper installationInspect sod installation to ensure proper coverageField Expectations:Check in daily with your Division ManagerInspect spec homes for issues like dead sod or treesEnsure all workers are using proper PPECommunicate effectively with builders, homeowners, and team membersOffice Responsibilities:Submit all paperwork on time (e.g., mileage logs, PTO requests, receipts)Maintain a professional vehicle appearanceRespond to emails in a timely mannerAssist with inventory checks and ordering materials when necessaryQualifications: High School Diploma (required)Valid, state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving recordExperience in landscape, irrigation or similar industriesBackflow License and Tech License (preferred)Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plusWhat They Offer: Competitive pay based on experienceExcellent benefitsOpportunity for growth and advancement within the companyA team-oriented, fast-paced work environment where you can make an impactCompany truck
