Facilities Technician (Full-time with Benefits)

The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Manager & General Manager and works with the Facilities Team to ensure the smooth operation of Zachs spaces and equipment. This is a full-time, non-exempt, campus based role. Final candidates will be subject to a background check in accordance with applicable laws.The schedule will include some nights and frequent weekends and will consist of shifts from 7am - 4pm and 11am-8pm with some variations during high volume times.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform routine inspections of the facility, identifying issues and potential areas needing maintenanceConduct repairs on building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lightingMaintain and repair facility equipment and fixturesWork with the facilities team to address maintenance requests promptlyFollow preventative maintenance schedules to keep equipment and systems functioning efficientlyMonitor and maintain heating, cooling, ventilation, and other mechanical systemsRegularly check safety systems including fire alarms, extinguishers, and sprinklersWork with the facilities team to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintainedPerform general cleaning and upkeep tasks such as painting, carpentry, and landscapingMaintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipmentOrder and manage supplies as needed to ensure timely maintenance and repairsTrack and document all maintenance activities and repairs in Zachs CMMS, ClickMaintAssist with setup and breakdown of events, meetings, and other activities in the facilityProvide support for relocations, including moving furniture and equipmentCoordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or installationsMonitor energy usage within the facility and suggest improvements to increase energy efficiencySupport implementation of energy-saving initiatives and technologiesCollaborate with other departments to ensure facility needs are metShare on-call duties for emergency situations, such as power outages, equipment failures, or security issuesMaintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairsSupport janitorial operations when neededRequirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:3+ years experience working in Maintenance at a multi-purpose facilityCertifications are appreciated but not mandatoryKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:General understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systemsKnowledge of preventative maintenance practices and repair techniques for various building systems and equipmentProficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentStrong troubleshooting abilities to quickly identify and resolve maintenance issuesAbility to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple maintenance projects simultaneouslyStrong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and management effectivelyProficiency in computer skills, primarily for work within Google Suite, and ClickMaintKeen eye for detail and identifying potential maintenance issues to ensure that repairs and maintenance are performed accuratelyAbility to perform all work with a direct reflection of the vision, mission, and values of Zach TheaterPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:This is a campus-based, on-site role.
