Supervise and plan work for assigned employees in order to optimize equipment for maximum productivity. Drive all operational activities to achieve on-time delivery while meeting all quality assurance requirements. Manage team members by establishing effective lines of communication. Provide change leadership within the business.Location: Whitesboro, NYResponsibilities: Under limited supervision:Supervise and coordinate work of assigned employees including the appropriate management of time while prioritizing the manufacturing of parts and the utilization of equipmentMaintain product quality and adhere to all quality standards established by both customer requirements and the internal quality system. Improve processes through the use of LEAN and six sigma conceptsShare knowledge willingly and mentor lower-level employeesMaintain a neat and orderly work areaPromote positive employee relations, promote and demand a safe work environmentAdhere to all company policies and procedures and drive adherence to policy and procedure with direct staffCollaborate with business unit leaders, engineers, materials, quality control and assigned team members * Communicate with leadership, planning, other production employees on a continuous basis on all matters that may impact productivity or on-time delivery including shift hand-off needsHire and develop team members that can effectively meet business goals and customer demandsFacilitate on-the-job training and cross training through work assignments and use of mentoring to provide learning opportunities and maximum use of equipmentLead 6Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles within the designated work cellsReview purchase requests, submit to manager for approvalHire and develop team members that can effectively meet business goals and customer demandsProvide regular performance feedback to assigned employeesComplete performance reviewsOther job-related duties as assignedAdheres to all Core Values (Health and Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Development of People, Integrity, Corporate Citizenship, Continuous Improvement, Respect)Adheres to all Core Competencies (Communication, Teamwork, Achieving Results, Commitment to Continuous Improvement, Judgement)Required Qualifications:3 years manufacturing supervision or leadership experience5 years manufacturing supervision or leadership experienceAble to read, write, and speak in standard EnglishAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprintsPreferred qualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related filedTechnical competence in problem solving the manufacture of aerospace componentsPossess solid mathematical and English skills.Ability to manage across multiple levels of the organization and lead efforts when neededAble to communicate material and train employees in a clear and concise manner either through written or verbal instructions.Proven track record of delivering results and meeting production schedulesExperience manufacturing parts to demanding quality requirements and specificationsWorking knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety ActFirst Aid certificationBenefits :Pursuit Aerospace also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
