Civil Engineer - Kansas City, MO

Job Description Senior Civil Engineer Location: Kansas City, MO (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months (6/15/2026 – 12/5/2026) Hours: 40 hrs/week (Mon–Fri) Travel: No Seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for a 6+ month contract located in Kansas City, MO to lead civil design efforts across large, complex, multidisciplinary projects. Role focuses on full lifecycle design from concept through construction, with heavy emphasis on leadership, QA/QC, and coordination across teams. Project scope includes: data centers, energy/power, industrial, manufacturing, pipeline, aviation, healthcare, and government facilities. Key ResponsibilitiesLead civil design from concept through construction Manage scope, schedule, budget, and staffing coordination Review vendor drawings and coordinate across engineering disciplines Perform QA/QC reviews for design compliance and constructability Support construction phase (field coordination, inspections, issue resolution) Develop cost estimates, reports, and technical specifications Lead proposals, pursuits, and client-facing efforts Mentor junior engineers and guide technical execution Ensure adherence to engineering standards and safety requirements RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET) + 7+ years experience OR Engineering Technology degree + FE + 7+ years experience OR Master’s degree + 6+ years experience EPC/project-based experience strongly preferred Strong design leadership experience on large projects Technical SkillsCivil design tools: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit (BIM) Experience with analysis tools (hydraulic, hydrologic, civil modeling) Exposure to PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCAD preferred Core CompetenciesProven ability to lead design teams and delegate work Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination High attention to detail and QA/QC ownership Additional InfoDriving required (MVR check included) Drug screen + full background required Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
