News Reporter
Overview:
The Marion Chronicle-Tribune, a five-day-a-week newspaper in Marion, Indiana, is seeking a news reporter to help cover our community.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting and writing news stories as assigned by the managing editor.
- Developing sources and generating story ideas.
- Applying Associated Press Style guidelines to all written content.
- Using word processing software to prepare and format content.
- Taking photographs to illustrate stories.
Experience:
- Reporting for news media.
- A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with word processing software and content management systems.
- Excellent editing and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
