Audio Visual Engineer II
We are seeking an A/V Engineer II to support the design, setup, and operation of conference room and event-based audiovisual environments. This role requires hands-on experience with A/V systems, room configurations, and collaboration technologies, along with the ability to support high-visibility events and troubleshoot live issues. The ideal candidate understands physical A/V infrastructure (racks, cabling, room acoustics) and can work directly with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.ResponsibilitiesDesign and set up A/V environments based on room size, layout, and material considerations to ensure optimal audio and visual performance. Configure and support conferencing solutions using Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex. Deploy and support Cisco collaboration hardware, including room kits and conferencing endpoints. Troubleshoot A/V issues remotely and onsite, including diagnosing audio distortion, signal interference, and hardware faults. Support high-profile events, coordinating with external teams to ensure all A/V components function seamlessly. Program and configure digital signal processors (e.g., Q-SYS, Biamp) to optimize audio performance and manage signal routing.Work with A/V racks, cabling, and physical infrastructure to maintain and optimize system performance. Collaborate with internal specialists responsible for automation and control system programming. Drive to remote sites around Texas and Oklahoma.Must-Haves5+ years of hands-on experience in audiovisual engineering or support. Strong understanding of A/V systems, including room design, acoustics, cabling, and hardware setup. Experience working with Cisco collaboration endpoints and conferencing equipment. Ability to troubleshoot live A/V issues, both remotely and onsite. Experience setting up and supporting conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams and WebEx.Ability to support high-visibility events and work directly with internal and external customers in time-sensitive environments. Ability to drive to remote sites around Texas and Oklahoma as-needed.Nice-to-HavesExperience with Python scripting for A/V automation and/or Control4 systems programming (Crestron, AMX, etc.).Experience with Cisco Room Kits and advanced Webex configurations.
