Senior Programmer Analyst

Duration: 3 months to start�Job SummaryThe Senior Programmer Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the college by providing programming and analytical services, modifying existing applications, integrating third-party solutions, and building API-based integrations and portal components on the college s Ellucian Experience platform. This position contributes to a collaborative team environment with the shared goal of delivering innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, code, test, debug, and document software applications using programming languages and integration tools, leveraging relevant experience, and knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and requirements. Act as a team resource to collaborate with business users, technical resources, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new software applications and enhancements to existing systemsParticipate in peer code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to produce high-quality software solutionsEngage in daily operations such as creating and evaluating robust test plans, and providing training to end-users. Write code to support the needs of our stakeholders, in a DevOps environment. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performance problems, and software defectsEnsure timely resolution of support tickets within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and engage with vendor support as needed to resolve escalated issuesSupport a variety of campus applications as assignedRepresent the college and the Information Technology team professionally in all interactionsOther duties may be assigned as neededEnvironmental ConditionsLicenses, Tools, and Equipment:This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.Required QualificationsAssociate degree in an applicable field with four years of programming experienceProficiency in programming languages, i.e.�SQL, PL/SQLKnowledge of shell scripting and/or other programming languages (i.e., Java, JavaScript, Shell, Perl, Python, HTML)Experience with source control platforms such as GithubProficiency in Ellucian Experience or similar Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutionsExperience building API-based integrations (e.g., Ellucian Ethos Integration) and/or developing UI components ( cards ) for a vendor experience/portal platformFamiliarity with relational database table structuresAnalytical skills to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsUnderstanding of analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, client relations, requirement assessment, project management methodology, and their interrelationshipsExcellent written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet critical deadlinesAbility to work effectively with managers, peers, and customersCapacity to multitask and collaborate within a team environmentSelf-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred QualificationsBachelor s degree in an applicable field with two year of programmingExperience with SaaS solutions, particularly in the education sectorFamiliarity with Ellucian Banner ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systemsExperience in applications management and administration, including user permissions, troubleshooting, and vendor supportExperience in the education sectorAll requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
