This role demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial insurance underwriting, particularly in property and casualty lines, and a proven track record in launching and leading an MGA/MGU.Key responsibilities for the Chief Underwriting Officer include underwriting management, business development, team building, market analysis, portfolio management, compliance, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance market dynamics, underwriting principles, and regulatory compliance, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
