Personal Trainer

The Club at Los Gatos, the Bay Area's premier health club, is currently seeking experienced Personal Trainers to join our team. As a Personal Trainer, you'll have a direct impact on our members' lives, helping them achieve new levels of health and fitness. We are looking for individuals who are not only experts in their field but also continuously strive to expand their knowledge and further their education.Our goal at The Club is to provide exceptional service in a facility where members have every tool for success at their fingertips. Our personal trainers are recognized as elite professionals, and we expect candidates to possess the experience, presence, charisma, and work ethic that reflects this high standard.Specific ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsAccurately clock in and out for all shiftsEnsure all breaks are takenPrepare and deliver sound, evidence based comprehensive exercise programs based on individual client goalsCoach and motivate members at every stage of their fitness journeySchedule and conduct new member onboarding sessions, including conducting fitness assessmentsSupport, teach and encourage members to meet his/her fitness goalsMaintain an active client base and build a referral networkSell and deliver personal training programs/packages to clientsAssist with new member outreach and follow-up with low usersEnsure that your MINDBODY schedule is always updated at least two week outAdminister emergency care to members and guests in need of assistanceWork with all other departments as neededOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisorOther FunctionsCheck Slack channels at the beginning and end of shift, as well as needed during scheduled hoursUse proper Slack channels for communication, maintenance and inventory needsFollow uniform policyBe knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered at TCLGPromote club services and activitiesAssist with keeping The Club well stocked and cleanAttend TCLG site meetings and trainingsHandle injury and illness and security incident reportingQualifications and Education Requirements4-year college degree in fitness related field or certificate from accredited 2-year program at a university preferredNational Personal Training Certification(s) required as well as modality specific certifications as required by role (if applicable)Previous health club personal training experience is a plus.Must be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer serviceStrong verbal communication skillsBasic computer skills, customer service skills, results oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industryAED/CPR/First Aid CertifiedProof of citizenship or legal statusPhysical and Working ConditionsAbility to take the responsibility for the health and safety of othersAbility to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 45 lbsFitness club environmentMust follow OSHA and TCLG safety standardsCompany OverviewThe Club at Los Gatos is a full service health club aggregating expert staff, modern therapies and a variety of fitness classes and modalities that until now were only available in boutique or individual settings.
