For more details, please connect with Pawan Shrivastava at 510-983-4629 or email at pawans@vgroupinc.comDirect End Client: State of GeorgiaDepartment: DOR - ITJob Title: Developer Duration: 8 MonthsLocation: 1800 Century Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30345Position Type: ContractNo. of Hours: 40 Hours/WeekTelecommute: As specified by clientWork Arrangement: As specified by clientCandidate must be Local and comfortable to work on W2Position Summary: -· The State of Georgia is seeking a Developer 1 to support software development initiatives within the Department of Revenue (DOR) IT organization.· The selected consultant will support the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications using object-oriented programming technologies and SQL databases.· The consultant will work with technical and business teams to analyze requirements, develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and follow established software development methodologies, coding standards, and best practices.Responsibilities:-· The selected consultant will perform, but not be limited to, the following activities:· Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications.· Develop and maintain applications using object-oriented programming technologies such as .NET, Java, C#, and VB.· Work with SQL databases to develop and maintain application functionality.· Write and maintain SQL queries and database-related code.· Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into application solutions.· Follow established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.· Apply coding standards and software development best practices.· Develop and consume web services as required.· Work with APIs and support application integrations.· Troubleshoot application issues and assist with problem resolution.· Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders.· Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required.· Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and other project activities.Required Skills:· Bachelor’s degree in a preferred field such as Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or Mathematics.· Minimum 2 years of experience working with SQL databases.· Minimum 2 years of experience with object-oriented development using technologies such as .NET, Java, C#, or VB.· Strong analytical and communication skills.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.· Knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices.V Group Inc. is an IT Services company which supplies IT staffing, project management, and delivery services in software, network, help desk and all IT areas.
