As we expand across New Jersey, Seattle, and the Bay Area, we’re looking for people who share our belief that every parent deserves to feel confident, informed, and supported from day one.Role OverviewAs a Marketing Intern at Birch, you will be the owner of our community launch efforts. You’ll build authentic partnerships with organizations that serve new and expecting parents, plan and execute local events, and help spread the Birch brand through meaningful relationships. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who is energetic, organized, and genuinely passionate about creative marketing initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Outreach & Partnerships• Identify, contact, and build relationships with community partners including:• Maternity hospitals and labor & delivery units• OB-GYN and midwife practices• Pediatric clinics and newborn care specialists• Lamaze, childbirth education, and birthing centers• Mommy & Me groups, postpartum support circles, and new parent meetups• Lactation consultants and breastfeeding support groups• Doula networks and birth worker communities• Baby boutiques, children’s toy stores, and parenting gear retailers• Fertility clinics and IVF support organizations• Parent-focused fitness studios (mommy yoga, stroller fitness, swim classes)• Early childhood education centers, daycares, and Montessori schools• Library story time programs and community family centers• Prenatal nutrition, meal prep, and wellness brands• Local parenting bloggers, influencers, and social media community managersEvent Planning & Execution• Help conceptualize, plan, and execute Birch launch events• Coordinate logistics including venue sourcing, vendor management, RSVPs, and day-of operations• Represent Birch at partner events, pop-ups, fairs, and community gatherings• Engage attendees authentically to drive app downloads, sign-ups, and brand awareness• Capture photo/video content at events for social media useMarketing & Content Support• Draft outreach emails, partnership proposals, and follow-up communications• Maintain and update a CRM or partner tracking spreadsheet• Assist with social media content ideas rooted in community storytelling• Contribute to flyer, email, and digital asset creation for events• Report on outreach metrics, event attendance, and partnership outcomesQualificationsRequired• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Business, or related field preferred)• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through• Genuine passion for community, family wellness, or maternal healthWhat You’ll Gain• Real-world experience launching a consumer brand from the ground up• A direct mentorship relationship with Birch’s marketing and leadership team• Ownership of community relationships and event outcomes — not just support tasks• Portfolio-worthy work: events you planned, partnerships you built, campaigns you ran• Networking across the maternal health, wellness, and family tech ecosystem• Paid compensation + performance recognition for strong outcomes• Potential for a full-time role as Birch scalesLocationsThis role is available in three markets. Candidates should be based in or near one of the following:• New Jersey (Greater NYC Metro area preferred; outreach spans Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, and Monmouth counties)• Seattle, WA (King County and surrounding communities; experience with Pacific Northwest family networks a plus)• Bay Area, CA (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and surrounding cities; multicultural community experience highly valued)Each intern will be primarily focused on their home market but will collaborate closely with counterparts in other regions.How to ApplyWe’d love to hear from you!
