Quality Engineer
HTI is partnering with a growing manufacturer in Greenville, SC to identify a Quality Engineer who thrives on the production floor, enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, and is passionate about driving continuous improvement.This is not a desk-only quality role. The ideal candidate will be highly visible on the shop floor, working directly with production teams, engineering, suppliers, and customers to improve quality, reduce defects, and strengthen manufacturing processes.What We OfferOpportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing quality and operational performanceHigh-visibility role with exposure to leadership and cross-functional teamsCollaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and problem-solvingStable, growing manufacturing organization with long-term career growth potentialCompetitive compensation and benefits packageWhat You NeedBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including:Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D)SPCFMEACAPAControl PlansExperience analyzing quality metrics, scrap, rework, and defect trends to drive improvementsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentationExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred ExperienceSteel fabrication, structural steel, material handling systems, or metal manufacturingWelding processes and quality standards (AWS, AISC)Supplier quality and customer quality managementLean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiativesSix Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)What Your Role Will Look LikeServe as a key quality resource on the manufacturing floor, partnering closely with operators, supervisors, and engineersInvestigate quality issues in real time and lead root cause analysis efforts to eliminate recurring defectsDevelop and improve inspection plans, quality procedures, and control plansAnalyze quality data and KPIs to identify trends and drive process improvementsLead corrective and preventive action activities with internal teams, suppliers, and customersSupport supplier quality initiatives, incoming material validation, and supplier corrective actionsParticipate in customer meetings and provide technical support for quality-related concernsConduct audits and support compliance with quality management systemsTrain and mentor production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practicesIf you have experience in fabrication, welding, steel products, structural products, or industrial manufacturing and enjoy being a hands-on problem solver, we'd love to hear from you.
