Controller
Overview
As Controller for the Hydronics portfolio, you provide financial leadership across multiple brands and sites, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and sound capital management. You’ll partner with operations and FP&A to drive cost visibility, profitability, and strategic decisions in a manufacturing environment. Your role includes governance over GAAP/SOX compliance, close processes, and integration support for acquisitions. This position offers a chance to shape financial discipline while supporting growth across Weil-McLain, Patterson-Kelley, and Sigma-Omega.

ResponsibilitiesOwn monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation across multiple entities; deliver complete and timely financial reportingEnsure compliance with US GAAP, SPX policies, internal controls, and reporting calendarsReview complex accounting matters, maintain balance-sheet discipline, and resolve discrepanciesOversee working capital, cash conversion, receivables, inventory, payables, and related reservesOwn standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances; explain performance and improve cost visibilityEstablish end-to-end accounting for rebates, sales commissions, and warranty programs; manage accruals and validationsMaintain robust internal controls; lead SOX compliance, audits, and record-retention; oversee JDE, OneStreamPartner with Director of Finance, Manufacturing Ops, and FP&A; support pricing, capital decisions, and business casesSupport inorganic growth through diligence, purchase accounting, system integration, and post-close stabilizationLead and develop accounting team; build cross-functional partnerships across finance, operations, and ITSupport working capital management, credit policies, inventory controls, and cash-flow optimizationManage risk, ownership, and action plans to resolve issues sustainablyManage ERP implementations, reporting automation, and process standardization across Hydronics
Key requirements10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experienceAt least 5 years leading accounting professionals (Controller/Assistant Controller or equivalent)Experience in multi-business-unit, multi-site manufacturing with standard costing and variancesStrong command of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, internal controls, close processes, and auditsKnowledge of rebates, sales commissions, warranty reserves, and other commercial programsAbility to partner with operations and FP&A and translate complex issues into actionsHigh integrity, sound judgment, and strong communication; proven team-buildingPreferred: experience consolidating across locations, ERP systems (JD Edwards, OneStream) or similarPublic accounting or Big Four background preferredAbility to influence across finance, operations, and executive leadershipBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred; Master’s preferredExperience with capital planning, ROI/NPV payback analysis preferredstrong communicationintegrity and judgmentability to influence and collaborateUS GAAPSarbanes-Oxley compliancefinancial close and consolidation
