Assistant Program Manager

Job Summary:As an Assistant Program/Project Manager within OEM organization, you will play a pivotal role in supporting engineering, manufacturing, validation, quality, and supply chain efforts to ensure the successful execution of build events, and special projects. This role demands collaboration across multiple functions to drive program success. Strong communication skills, sense of urgency and a collaborative work ethic are essential.Key Responsibilities:Assist in creating Key Indicator Reports for new areas of businessTake on key initiatives designed to promote growth OEM CenterTake on new initiatives with automating current processes to enhance efficiencyAssist Program Manager in an SME role in non-traditional work portfolioAbility to effectively manage changeEffectively communicate status of projects to leadershipEngage global teams as required.Lead planning & readiness activities to support non-traditional work, special assignments and pre-production as requiredSupport quality processes and build floor activities.Easel board reviewsEscalation processBuild site direction (BSDs)Daily Production meetingsSupport achievement of BPD objectives following GMS principals.Lead and execute special projects as assigned.Minimum Skills:High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.Good oral and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeHigh level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.Demonstrated ability to manage numerous issues and work on projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to lead and support cross functional team activities.Preferred Skills:An understanding of manufacturing, quality, project management, or engineering processesRequirements:Education Requirement – Associate's degree in a related field is requiredYears of experience – at least 8-10 years of experience requiredNeed someone that knows how to build a vehicle or familiar with the manufacturing process (full line manufacturing, prototype experience would be very beneficial)Understanding the change management processThis person will be working between the floor and program managementProblem solvingThey are on their feet a lot in this positionSomeone with a quality background would be a good fit for this positionHiring Manager's Top Skills:Experience working with program execution.
