Structural Engineering Intern (Buildings) - Summer 2026

The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to support the Buildings Engineering Group in our Jacksonville, FL office.The Structural Engineering Intern will collaborate with and be mentored by top Engineering associates on our team. The selected candidate will work with associates assisting the Buildings Engineering Group on a variety of projects in the aviation, commercial, health, science and federal market sectors. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands on experience and a better understanding of the Buildings Engineering, Structural Engineering and the Construction Industry.Responsibilities:Perform routine calculations requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principlesPrepare and revise construction documents including plans and detailsCollect and prepare data for evaluationPerform engineering with the use of computer-assisted engineering softwareProvide support to engineering and project management associatesQualifications:Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related specialization from an ABET-accredited programExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic aligning with the company's mission and core valuesPreferred Qualifications:3.0 GPA or abovePrior internship or related experienceAutoCAD and/or Revit experienceExperience or exposure to building plans preparation and design standardsSpecific interest Structural Engineering and Building DesignRS&H provides interns an opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience in their specific field of interest.
