Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

Job Description Expertise:HVAC Design- Ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing and selectionDirect expansion (DX) equipment, VRV/VRF air conditioning systems design and central chilled water and heating water plantsPerform heating and cooling load calculationsNew building and remodel construction designStrengths:Familiar with Trane Trace and Carrier HAP programsPerforming design calculations and equipment selection and layout of HVAC equipmentHeating (gas or heating water) and cooling (chilled water) central plant system designExperience with building energy performance software, comcheck, rescheck and green building certification criteria, such as LEEDKnowledgeable of project design phase deliverablesKnowledgeable of basic electrical and plumbing general requirements for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code AuthoritiesKnowledgeable of construction administration responsibilities including submittal review, RFI responses, performing site visits and writing field reportsAutoCAD proficient; Revit experience is a plus!Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, EIT or P.E. license preferred
