General Manager - Silo Restaurant and Gift Shop
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our establishment, ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in casual dining and breakfast/lunch settings. This role requires a hands-on approach to management, with a focus on food safety, preparation, and overall guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, and retail gift shop to ensure high-quality service and adherence to food safety standards.
Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to cultivate a skilled and motivated team.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food preparation processes to maintain quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the kitchen and dining areas.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively to maintain a positive dining experience.
Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement in cost control and revenue generation.
Experience
Proven experience in food service management or a similar role within the food industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking techniques and health department standards.
Familiarity with reading a P & L statement, budgeting and projecting is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and vendors.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene practices.
