Network Engineer/Systems Administrator

Our work environment includes: Growth opportunities On-the-job training Relaxed atmosphere **Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer/Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network architecture and be proficient in the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure. Candidates must also be proficient in managing and configuring Linux based server environments. This role will also be responsible for assisting field technicians remotely as needed. Candidates with VoIP/SIP experience preferred. **Duties:** - Update and maintain network and servers for company infrastructure. - Manage network security using TCP/IP and SSH protocols. - Implement and maintain network segmentation and access control policies. - Monitor network performance and optimize network configurations as needed. - Collaborate with other teams to ensure network solutions align with business objectives. - Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and security policies. - Implement and maintain a secure and efficient network environment. - Provide guidance and design for customer networks and infrastructure. - Assist field technicians remotely with network configuration/troubleshooting. - Occasionally visit customer sites to diagnose and resolve network or VoIP issues. **Skills:** **Must Have** - Strong understanding of network architecture and network engineering principles. - Experience with network security protocols such as TCP/IP and SSH. - Familiarity with Proxmox and experience with virtual network infrastructure. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues using a variety of tools and techniques. - Experience with SQL (MariaDB/MySQL and Postgres) - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) server management experience. **Preferred** - Experience troubleshooting SIP and VoIP . - Experience with Netsapiens SNAP Solution or FusionPBX/Freeswitch. - Kamailio configuration experience. - Familiarity with Ansible and creating playbooks to automate tasks. - Scripting and/or programming skills in JavaScript, PHP, and/or Python. **Work Hours** Standard work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There may be occasional after hours or weekend hours as work flow dictates. **Pay and Benefits** This is an exempt salaried position. LNS offers medical and dental insurance after 60 days of employment.
