Field Application Engineer

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our systems in field environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional with experience in cameras, networking, edge devices, and troubleshooting complex hardware/software systems.The FAE will work closely with internal sales, product, project management, and service teams, as well as contractors and clients, to ensure reliable and high-quality installations and ongoing operational support.Please apply directly through LinkedIn. Direct outreach will not be considered part of the application process.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and commission LPR systems, including cameras, sensors, edge devices, and networking equipmentPerform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenanceCalibrate cameras and LPR systems to ensure optimal performance and image accuracySupport firmware upgrades, software updates, and configuration changesDocument installations, maintenance activities, and technical findings accuratelyServe as the primary field support contact for client service issuesCoordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical challengesManage and dispatch local contractors for repairs and maintenance activitiesCreate, track, and resolve support tickets in accordance with SLAs and company standardsProvide status updates to project managers, leadership, and clients regarding site conditions and project progressMaintain compliance with safety standards, site requirements, and company proceduresTravel frequently to customer locations, often on short noticeQualificationsRequiredAssociate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, IT, Networking, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)Experience with:IP cameras and video systemsNetworking technologies (IP, PoE, switches, routers)Field hardware installations and troubleshootingFamiliarity with Linux and/or Windows systemsAbility to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentationStrong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently in fast-paced field environmentsValid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensivelyPreferredExperience with LPR/ANPR systemsKnowledge of edge computing devices and remote monitoring toolsBackground in intelligent transportation systems, parking technology, or security systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbsComfortable working on ladders, lifts, and elevated locationsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsWhy Join Us?Opportunity to work with advanced smart mobility and computer vision technologiesHigh-impact role supporting mission-critical deploymentsCollaborative and fast-growing environmentCompetitive compensation, benefits, and travel opportunities
