From cutting to calibrating, your tools keep every part true and every machine running right.What You'll Need to Make the CutHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredTechnical degree or certification in Tool & Die Making preferred35 years of tool and die making experience with a strong background in manufacturing processesStrong mechanical aptitude with hands-on machining experienceProficiency in operating lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses, and boring machinesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, and GD&TSkilled in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gaugesFamiliarity with CAD software for tool design and modificationStrong problem-solving skills to diagnose and correct tool and die issuesHigh attention to detail to maintain strict quality standardsSolid mathematical skills related to dimensions, tolerances, and machining processesClear verbal and written communication skillsExcellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationStrong understanding of safety procedures and best practicesAnd How We've Got Your BackGood weekly pay that hits on timeMedical, dental, and vision coverageSafety checks and gear that keep you protectedLife and disability insurance that's there when neededOptional 401(k) for the long haulThe Work You'll Take Pride In Every DayTechnical Proficiency: Interpret engineering drawings and die designs, including tolerancing and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), to ensure precise manufacturing.Machinery Operation: Safely and effectively operate manual equipment such as knee mills, surface grinders, lathes, drill presses, and boring machines.Component Manufacturing: Fabricate simple and complex tool components that do not require CNC or Wire EDM equipment.Advanced Tooling Build: Construct and assemble blanking dies, brake tools, and fixtures. Set timing, align components, grind to size, position stops/stencils, and manually adjust cutting elements for proper function.Tooling Maintenance: Sharpen, repair, and maintain tooling, including disassembling dies to repair or replace worn components.Specification Analysis: Review blueprints, sketches, models, and written specifications to determine materials and fabrication requirements.Planning & Layout: Calculate dimensions, plan layouts, and determine efficient build methods for tooling projects.Die Repair & Assembly: Dismantle dies, grind, file, polish, repair or replace components, verify dimensions, and reassemble with precision.Inspection & Quality Control: Measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications.Shaping Operations: Shape and finish parts to exact tolerances required for production.Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and regulatory guidelines.Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and designers to implement tooling improvements and document design changes.Word on the floor? 4.5 out of 5 would refer a friend to work for us.If You Can Hold Tolerance, You'll Hold Your Own Here.
