Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: Sacramento Area, CA Job Type: Full-Time | 100% Onsite Salary: $90, 000 – $110, 000 + Overtime (approx. 15%)Overview A well-established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting functions across multiple entities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the Corporate Controller with financial operations and reporting.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and supervising accounting staff.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage accounting functions across multiple entities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Supervise, train, and delegate work to Staff Accountants.Prepare and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries.Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements in collaboration with the Corporate Controller.Manage fixed asset, lease, and telecom accounting functions.Analyze, audit, and reclassify costs across cost and profit centers.Review and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.Maintain billing schedules and contract information within SAP.Update and maintain Notes Payable schedules, including related party transactions.Assist with annual budget preparation and financial analysis.Prepare special reports and financial analysis as requested by management.Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and safety regulations.Participate in staff and departmental meetings as required.QualificationsBachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.7– 10 years of professional accounting experience working with general ledger systems and accounting fundamentals.Supervisory or leadership experience overseeing accounting staff.Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Experience preparing financial statements and closing processes.Proficiency with Excel, Word, and SAP preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong mathematical and financial analysis abilities.
