Payroll Manager

Payroll ManagerLocation: Indianapolis, INCompensation: $100,000-$125,000Schedule: Full-time, PermanentKey ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and biweekly payroll cycles, including field and office employees.Oversee payroll for multiple job sites, states, and labor classifications.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage, and certified payroll reporting.Maintain accurate employee records, job costing allocations, and labor reporting.Review and approve payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and payroll-related GL activity.Lead and mentor payroll staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.Partner with HR, Finance, and Project Management to resolve payroll issues and support operational needs.Manage payroll tax filings, W-2 processing, and year-end reporting.Implement process improvements and support system upgrades or payroll software enhancements.Serve as the primary point of contact for audits, including workers' compensation, union, and financial audits. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, HR, or related field preferred.5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred.Proficiency with payroll systems such as Viewpoint, Sage, ADP, Paycom, or similar.#INMAR2026#LI-LS1#LI-Onsite
