Material Expediter - T-45 program - Madison, MS

Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of activities in support of successfully arranging for delivery, assembly and distribution of parts in order to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules. Such items involve strong interface with Planners/Schedulers, Buyers, Quality, Program Management and Manufacturing personnelPerforms Inventory Analysis on high demand parts, targeting those assets as candidates to expediteWill be empowered to communicate directly with suppliers, while maintaining respectful linkage to Purchasing Buyers and ManagementAssists program / sites with requests for assistanceGathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sourcesProcesses order requests and verifies part numbersTracks shipments from carriers to ensure the sites have up-to-date information on the movement of their partsUses software for functional area to compile, review and analyze data to generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentationsProvides data and information to others on functional unit processes and proceduresOther projects and initiatives as assignedQualifications* High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years related experience* Must have knowledge in computer use, with experience in Microsoft OfficeDesirable QualificationsKnowledge of MRP/ERP systemsTwo (2) years of experience serving in a similar role - spanning knowledge of purchase orders and buyingKnowledge and experience of working with vendorsBenefits Include the Following:Healthcare coverageRetirement PlanLife insurance, AD&D, and disability benefitsWellness programsPaid time off, including holidaysLearning and Development resourcesEmployee assistance resourcesPay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
