Production Supervisor II
The Production Supervisor II leads and coordinates manufacturing operations within the Holtec Advanced Manufacturing Division. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, executing manufacturing schedules, and ensuring operations meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.The position partners closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams to ensure fabrication activities are completed in accordance with technical specifications, code requirements, and company procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in heavy steel fabrication, welding, machining operations, and demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment.Location: Camden, NJ (on-site)Primary ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet manufacturing schedules and production targetsPlan work assignments, production sequences, and staffing levels to align with operational prioritiesDirect and oversee production personnel including welders, fitters, and laborersEnsure consistent operational performance across shifts and achievement of critical delivery milestonesEnforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsEnsure fabrication activities comply with ASME, AWS, and other applicable codes, specifications, and quality standardsReview drawings, blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine manufacturing requirements and work stepsMonitor production operations to ensure adherence to established procedures, standards, and specificationsInspect materials, components, and finished products to identify defects or deviationsCollaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams to resolve technical issues and maintain workflowMonitor production performance and address issues impacting efficiency, quality, and schedule adherenceProvide training and guidance to production personnel on equipment operation, work procedures, and safety practicesMaintain accurate production records, reports, and documentationCoordinate with other supervisors and departments to support efficient manufacturing operationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product qualityRequirementsHigh School diploma required; Associate degree or completion of a technical apprenticeship preferred8–12 years of experience in heavy steel fabrication or industrial manufacturing environments5–8 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production/manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of welding, fabrication, and production processesExperience working with ASME and AWS codes and regulated manufacturing standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specificationsStrong communication, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) based on production needsExperience in nuclear, energy, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferredExperience with production planning, scheduling, or shop floor coordination preferredFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies preferredA Generation Ahead by Design™Investing in people who power the future.CompensationWe believe great work deserves great rewards.
