Production Supervisor III
The Production Supervisor III leads complex manufacturing operations within the Holtec Advanced Manufacturing Division. This role is responsible for directing multi-disciplinary production activities, overseeing critical manufacturing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated nuclear manufacturing environment.The Production Supervisor III serves as an operational leader coordinating fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and production execution across multiple work areas or shifts. This position partners closely with engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, production planning, and senior operations leadership to drive manufacturing performance, resolve complex technical challenges, and support strategic production objectives..Location: Camden, NJ (on-site)Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate complex manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality objectives, and operational targetsDirect production activities across multiple work areas, shifts, and manufacturing disciplinesEnforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational proceduresEnsure all manufacturing activities comply with engineering specifications, ASME code requirements, quality standards, and approved proceduresSupervise and coordinate production personnel including welders, fitters, machinists, assemblers, laborers, and lead personnelDevelop staffing plans, work assignments, and production priorities to support operational and strategic objectivesCollaborate with engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and production planning teams to resolve complex technical and operational issuesMonitor production performance to identify and address schedule delays, quality concerns, and operational inefficienciesSupport nonconformance resolution, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and implementation of process improvementsReview technical drawings, work packages, and fabrication specifications to determine operational requirements and sequencingEnsure proper execution of welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, and material handling activitiesMaintain accurate production documentation, labor reporting, and operational recordsSupport customer visits, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activitiesMentor and develop production personnel and subordinate supervisors to strengthen workforce capabilitiesDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiencyPartner with senior operations leadership on long-term production planning and execution strategiesEnsure consistent operational performance across teams and achievement of critical delivery milestonesRequirementsHigh School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Welding Technology, or related field preferred10–15+ years of experience in heavy steel fabrication, nuclear manufacturing, or industrial production environments8–12 years of supervisory or production leadership experienceAdvanced knowledge of ASME Section III, Section IX, AWS welding standards, and regulated manufacturing requirementsStrong knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and industrial production operationsDemonstrated experience leading large teams and coordinating multi-shift manufacturing activitiesAbility to read and interpret complex technical drawings, fabrication specifications, and production documentationStrong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) based on production needsExperience in nuclear, energy, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferredFamiliarity with NQA-1, NAVSEA, and nuclear quality assurance requirements preferredExperience supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities preferredExperience with production recovery planning, workforce coordination, and process optimization preferredA Generation Ahead by Design™Investing in people who power the future.CompensationWe believe great work deserves great rewards.
