Growing together.The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30AM - 5:30PM (8-hour shift). Supervisor will determine schedule.Location: 2845 Siena Heights, Henderson, NVPrimary Responsibilities:Work with providers and staff to resolve patient billing concerns and ensure completeness of documentationAssist physicians, as required in coordination of care for patientsProvides high quality care and service excellence to our patientsResponsible to greet patient and check patient in and out. Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct and update as necessaryCollect appropriate co-pays and adhere to all cash handling policiesAnswers phone, takes messages and routes calls appropriatelySchedule appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care providerResponsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assistedWork with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flowResolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessaryAssist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areasPerform other duties as assignedPoint of contact for patients who raise questions and concerns regarding billingEstablish and maintain relationships with service providers for patient's coordination of careEnsures work is being performed according to company policies, procedures, and standardsParticipates in a variety of department initiativesEnsure all OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations are followedFollows proper reporting protocols for any compliance or incident reporting as neededMaintains strict patient and employee confidentialityOther duties and responsibilities, not specifically described, maybe defined, or assigned from time to time, consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities of the incumbent by managementWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment.
