What to Expect
The MBOM Manager plays a pivotal role in providing essential support for the New Product Introduction team. They generate Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) for new programs, manage part creation, and ensure compliance throughout the change management process. The role involves extensive collaboration across departments for timely completion to include Design Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning and more. Additionally, the engineer coordinates with production and the supply chain organizations to optimize excess inventory.
What You'll Do
MBOM configuration for New Programs and Sustaining Changes
MBOM completeness and accuracy audit: As Design vs. As Built
Global MBOM tracking and change management across all factories
Ongoing Change Analysis based upon the MBOM data
Establish and evolve the policies, standards and systems of BOM Change Management
Work cross functionally with every aspect of the automotive business
Maintain day-to-day internal relationships; point of contact for all BOM issues
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing related field, or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
At least 3 years of manufacturing process, supply chain management, vehicle engineering, technical program management experience
Technical experience in vehicle quality engineering is preferred
Technical experience in vehicle product development is preferred
Experience in integrated circuit and software development plus program management is preferred
Familiar with Excel, PPT, Program, Auto CAD, Solidworks, CATIA or similar software
