Position Overview:Client is seeking an experienced **Web Application Developer** to support the development, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and ongoing support of the **JWEB Criminal Application**. This mission-critical application serves as an integrated criminal justice system used to document and manage criminal justice processes across multiple justice and law enforcement agencies.The selected candidate will work closely with developers, business users, stakeholders, and agency representatives to support enhancement requests, troubleshoot issues, validate requirements, and deliver technical solutions that improve system functionality and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:* Support the JWEB Criminal application and related criminal justice systems.* Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement application enhancements and bug fixes.* Collaborate with development teams to address backlog items and maintenance requests.* Validate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.* Participate in the development and implementation of enhancement requests submitted by county departments and law enforcement agencies.* Troubleshoot and resolve application issues related to criminal justice business processes.* Support ongoing application maintenance activities and production support efforts.* Participate in Agile ceremonies, project meetings, and technical discussions.* Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.* Provide direct customer and end-user support when necessary.* Assist with batch report development, troubleshooting, and maintenance.* Ensure application changes are properly analyzed, tested, documented, and deployed.* Maintain technical documentation, testing artifacts, issue logs, and system support records.* Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Qualifications:* Experience in web application development, support, and maintenance.* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.* Experience performing application testing, validation, and troubleshooting.* Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.* Familiarity with Agile development practices, user stories, and backlog management.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business users, and external stakeholders.* Experience managing multiple priorities in a support and enhancement environment.* Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.Preferred Qualifications:* Experience supporting enterprise-level web applications.* Experience working within criminal justice, court systems, law enforcement, or public sector environments.* Experience supporting integrated applications used by multiple agencies or departments.* Experience handling application enhancements, maintenance requests, and defect resolution.* Experience with batch report development and support.* Familiarity with backlog management, requirements analysis, and user story validation.* Experience providing direct support to end users and business stakeholders.Preferred Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented developer who can balance application maintenance, production support, and enhancement initiatives while working closely with justice agencies and business stakeholders. Experience in public sector or criminal justice environments is highly desirable.
