Systems Engineer- Regional Strike ProgramsLocation: Pittsfield, MassachusettsType: ContractJob #87460Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Systems Engineer, Regional Strike Programs position that just opened in Pittsfield, MA. In this role, you will support Regional Strike Programs as part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for delivering integrated hardware, software, and system-level solutions for advanced Department of Defense and aerospace programs. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.Location: Pittsfield, MAPosition: Systems Engineer, Regional Strike ProgramsContract: 12 - 24 months with possibility of going directPay: $49.36/hourSchedule: First / Second ShiftCLEARANCE: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hireIn this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:Provide systems engineering support for Regional Strike Programs within a collaborative engineering environmentSupport cross-functional teams delivering integrated hardware, software, and system-level solutions for defense and aerospace applicationsContribute to hardware and software validation, verification, and performance testing of complex systemsSupport requirements documentation, analysis, traceability, and lifecycle management activitiesParticipate in system modeling, architecture development, and simulation analysis in support of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Assist with the design, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of hardware-based system solutionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical solutions for Department of Defense programsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant job related experienceCandidates with a Master's degree may be considered with at least 6 months of relevant experienceExperience working in Agile development environments is preferredClearance Requirements:Department of Defense active Secret security clearance is required.Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Due to the nature of work performed within secure facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Knowledge Skills And Abilities:Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standardsExperience with requirements management and system modeling toolsAbility to analyze complex systems and apply engineering best practicesCreative problem solving skills with the ability to quickly learn and apply new technical informationAbility to manage increasing levels of technical complexityStrong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in team-oriented engineering environmentsCommitment to continuous professional development for yourself and team membersAbout our client:Our client is a mission critical DOD - Aerospace defense contractor developing solutions that will lead, serve, and protect our country.
