Production Control SupervisorBrief Job Summary:The Production Controller Supervisor oversees the production controlling team to schedule and monitor workflow, manage material movement, and ensure continuous operations throughout the production cycles. This role is responsible for maintaining a smooth, efficient facility while ensuring a safe environment and supporting operational excellence.Why Work at Rittal:Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000Above-average benefits available on the 1st of the month after you start401K MatchOpportunities for training, development, and advancementWork for an industry-leading manufacturer with a strong commitment to safety and innovationKey Responsibilities:Production & Scheduling Supervise finite production schedules for the manufacture of industrial or commercial productsCollaborate with production supervisors to review work progress and communicate changes in processesEstablish a feedback loop with schedulers and production personnel to resolve schedule-related issuesUse shop floor control staff to isolate problems and implement preventative systemsNotify management of work progress, material availability, and potential production issuesSupport daily schedule communication to production departmentsProvide daily schedule performance reporting (Plan vs Output) for assembly and critical fabricationReview critical orders and manage escalations affecting the production planPrepare and send the daily Paint Plan and monitor outputEnsure alignment of raw material picking with established production schedulesMonitor production progress and update MES (RLGL) with accurate order statusSummarize daily production status and share updates through appropriate channelsTeam Leadership & Development Support employee development and set clear expectations and goalsProvide backup coverage for team members as neededParticipate actively in continuous improvement projectsPromote a positive, safe, and efficient work environmentTechnical Oversight Ensure compliance with all Work Instructions, procedures, and safety policiesUtilize SAP and related IT tools with proficiencyCreate and supervise finite production schedules and sequence plansAlign schedules with customer orders and finished goods plansEnsure accurate material and resource allocation across production areasSupport SAP documentation needs including scrap and reproductionAnalyze production data to identify improvement opportunitiesGeneral Perform other related duties as neededQualifications:Education & Experience High school diploma or GED requiredExperience or education equivalent to 10 years in operations , specifically manufacturing and production controlMinimum 5+ years of SAP experienceTechnical Skills Proficient in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong understanding of production routings, capacity balancing, and planning processesAbility to interpret both verbal and written instructionsStrong problem-solving and mathematical skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and shifting prioritiesStrong organizational and time management abilitiesSoft Skills Effective professional verbal and written communicationStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently while effectively collaborating with stakeholdersAbility to make logical decisions and contribute to problem-solving initiativesAdapts well to fast-paced environments and changing assignmentsPhysical Requirements: Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shiftOccasionally lift up to 50 lbs to waist levelFrequently lift 25–40 lbs to waist level and up to 25 lbs above shouldersMental Requirements: Ability to multi-task and learn various build requirementsAdaptability to changing assignmentsEffective communication with peers, supervisors, and managersSafety Requirements: Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and additional PPE as requiredDirection & Decision Making: Follow written and verbal directivesMake and assist with logical decisions necessary for production continuityRelationships: Direct Contacts: Production Control Manager, Assembly Manager, Team Supervisors, Team MembersIndirect Contacts: Various departments throughout the Urbana plantWork Environment: Warehouse and manufacturing environmentExposure to hot and cold temperatures as well as dust#UrbIND If you require reasonable accommodation for any part of the application or hiring process due to a disability, you may contact the company's Human Resources Department at (937) 399-0500.This option is reserved for individuals who require accommodation due to a disability.Rittal LLC and Eplan are proud to be an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
