Part Time - Art History Instructor

Job DescriptionBASIC FUNCTION:Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Art courses up to 10 hours/weekOrganize and teach all levels of Art classesUse appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desiredREQUIRED DUTIES:* Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.Required QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Master's in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies ORBachelor's in art history AND Master's in history ORMaster's in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history ORThe equivalentEQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT: All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
