We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies.SummaryThe Corporate Accounting Senior Analyst position will review daily transactions, reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards, and perform month-end closing.ResponsibilitiesLead the daily review of transactions, ensuring proper backup documentation and accuracyPost entries accurately and promptly into the accounting systemOversee the review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial dataProactively investigate and resolve complex discrepancies or errors that arise during the reconciliation processCollaborate with the accounting team to conduct research and analysis on various accounting issuesStay updated with accounting principles and regulationsDetermine revenue and cost according to the accrual basis of accountingPlay a key role in preparing accruals during month-end closing to ensure proper recognition of revenues and costs in the appropriate accounting periodAnalyze revenue and cost figures posted in the current year that pertain to the previous yearManage the accrual balances from the previous year and ensure they are accurately reflected in the current year's financial statementsPerform direct margin simulations and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the profit and loss statementReview and validate the accuracy of financial data before finalizing the booksRevisit worksheets or SAP data, if necessary, to ensure accuracyOversee and manage accrual aging reports, monitoring outstanding balancesCollaborate with relevant departments to ensure timely invoicing for accounts receivable and accounts payable based on accrualsProvide guidance and support in implementing changes or updates to invoicing proceduresEnsure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and accounting standardsStay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliancePrepare periodic P&L analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly reportsCompare the actual financial performance to the business plan and provide insights on variations and trendsPlay a pivotal role in supporting the preparation of financial audits and leading audit-related activitiesOversee the preparation of relevant documentation and ensure full compliance with audit requirementsVerify and apply new contracts or changes/updates in customer/vendor contractsEnsure accurate recording of contract terms and conditions in the accounting systemOversee the reconciliation of remaining balance sheet balances, such as prepaid expenses, amortization schedules, and other accountsTake charge of resolving open balances and ensuring accurate and complete financial dataAnalyze billing and payable procedures to identify opportunities for process improvementLead the development and implementation of better solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in the accounting processOther duties as assignedCompensation Range$58,000 - $63,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)Benefits of working at GLOVIS America Inc.Medical InsuranceVision InsuranceDental InsuranceHealth Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Basic Life and AD&D as well as Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityPaid Vacation, Holidays, and Sick leaveHospital and Critical Illness InsuranceWellness Program and Gym Reimbursement*401(k) with Generous MatchingReferral Bonuses*Auto Allowance*Quarterly Employee Lunches, Summer Refreshments, and Monthly Team Building Activities*Discretionary Bonuses*Tuition Reimbursement**Benefits may vary by location.
