Summer Program Nurses, Salem Public Schools, Salem, MA [SY 2025-20206] Internal Candidates Preferred Program Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 7, 2026 Rate: $45 per hour. Planning Pay: Includes 3 hours of additional compensation for medication gathering and program planning completed prior to the holiday break. Description We are seeking dedicated nurses to support our Summer 2026 programs. Each nurse is responsible for meeting the routine and emergency medical needs of all students within their assigned building. Key responsibilities include communicating clearly with families and staff regarding student health and safety, and consulting with District nurses to manage and collect student medications. Additional duties may be assigned by the site administrator or Director of Nursing. Program Schedule & Locations: Site / Program Nurse Hours Students Served CMS / Expanding Horizons 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (4 hrs) 80-100 WHES / Ext Yr. PK, K-5, 6-12 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM (5.5 hrs) 80-100 HMLS / Summer Academy & ELSS 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (5 hrs) 200+ HMLS Nurse will be on call for high school programs at SHS typically serves 100+ students How to Apply Interested nurses should submit a letter of interest to the Director of Nursing Jane Morrissey.
