The primary mission is to increase the rate at which participants complete their secondary school education, and enroll in and graduate from institutions of post-secondary education. The UB program provides academic, co- and extracurricular activities during the academic year and the summer, including instruction, tutoring, college tours, cultural events, health and fitness activities, educational workshops, and service activities.About Ub Summer AcademyThe UB Summer Academy is a six-week program that simulates commuter and residential college experiences. The Summer Academy serves approximately 40 students from the Lynn Public Schools. This year's Summer Academy includes a four-week, day program at North Shore Community College's Lynn Campus and a two- week residential program at UMass Amherst. The program runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM during the non-residential component and Sunday evening through Saturday afternoon during the residential component.
