Position: Outreach and Intervention SpecialistWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time, 10-months per year (218 days)Start Date: March 16, 2026Pay: $26.66 - 35.99 dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated HandbookBenefits: Medical, Dental, Life and other benefits in accordance with the Non-Affiliated Summary of BenefitsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field or a combination of education and related experience totaling four years. Must have some experience working with students.Preferred QualificationsProven ability to work in collaboration with others.Proven ability to work respectfully and responsively with diverse populations of youth and families, community members, health and human service providers, city and county government and educators.Possess a strength-based, child/youth-family centered philosophy.Strong child/youth advocacy and mediation skills.Understanding of the concept of equity in education.Proven ability to work in a diverse team environment.Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.ResponsibilitiesPromote and advance the district Equity Promise.Serve as a liaison between the school and families and community.Promote parental involvement in the schools.Promote parental involvement with Open House, communication nights and other academic support events.Assist families with the interpretation of school policies and procedures.Conduct home visits, as needed.Assist in the assessment of family needs.Assist in the coordination and delivery of student induction efforts, including incoming-freshman summer programming.Intervention:Promote student social emotional development.Advocate for students with teachers, administration, deans and other school staff.Assist in the assessment of student needs.Assist deans and ISFs in the monitoring of academic progress for underperforming students.Report all suspected incidents of child abuse, neglect,J-18808-Ljbffr
