The position involves hands-on development, testing, and system optimization, with exposure to cloud modernization initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain high-performance, low-latency Java applicationsContribute to backend development (~70% coding + testing)Build scalable and reliable components for trading systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (trading, product, infrastructure)Participate in system design, architecture, and performance tuningSupport modernization efforts (on-prem $B*(J AWS migration)Ensure code quality through testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelinesRequired QualificationsStrong expertise in Java backend developmentExperience with high-volume, low-latency systemsSolid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuningStrong hands-on coding and testing experienceAbility to perform well in technical coding assessmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience in financial services / capital markets (preferred)Exposure to AWS or cloud migration initiativesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesKnowledge of trading systems, market data, or FIX protocol
