Full-Stack .NET Developer

Job Summary The role of the Full-Stack .NET Developer is to modernize and enhance BuildOn Technologies’ Echelon Web platform, the next-generation evolution of the company’s ERP system. This position is responsible for designing intuitive user experiences, developing robust back-end services, and ensuring seamless integration between front-end applications, APIs, and enterprise data sources. The developer will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle while helping transform complex business workflows into scalable, user-friendly solutions. This is a cross-platform role: the developer will work across both the modern Echelon Web platform and the existing Echelon Windows Forms client/server application, so proficiency in both web and desktop .NET development is required. Duties Design and develop responsive front-end modules using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS. Build and maintain back-end services and APIs using .NET, C#, and SQL Server. Integrate front-end applications with RESTful and non-RESTful services. Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures. Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and cross-browser compatibility. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full technology stack. Participate in planning, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support activities. Collaborate in Kanban/Agile ceremonies and perform peer code reviews. Support modernization of legacy ERP functionality into a web-based platform. Develop and maintain Windows Forms modules within the existing Echelon client/server desktop application. Research and adopt emerging Angular, .NET, and SQL development best practices. Skills 3–5 years of professional .NET development experience across web and desktop applications. Strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS/SCSS. Experience with .NET (C# and VB.NET), SQL Server, and enterprise application integrations. Understanding of responsive design, component-based architecture, and state management. Strong database development skills including queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Experience with Git source control and DevOps tools such as GitHub. Knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience developing and maintaining Windows Forms desktop applications using .NET, C#, and/or VB.NET, so the developer can work on both the web and client/server sides of Echelon. Working knowledge of multi-tier architecture, design patterns, and 3rd-party .NET libraries for desktop applications. College degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications The following are not required but are a plus: Familiarity with the legacy Echelon ERP and experience migrating Windows Forms functionality into web-based platforms. Exposure to both Microsoft and open-source technologies. Experience constructing operational and financial reports. Experience interfacing with a Help Desk to triage and resolve reported issues. Comfortable working in a small, collaborative developer-shop environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction. Strong multitasking and time-management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Quick learner who can effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
