We encourage those who join us to be active participants in building our future.Position SummaryCounsel, Miscellaneous E&O and Management Liability is responsible for the handling, management, and oversight of complex primary and excess Miscellaneous E&O and Management Liability claims, including Employment Practices and Fiduciary claims. The position reports to the Senior Counsel of Managed Care E&O & Miscellaneous E&O Claims.Required QualificationsManage complex E&O and Management Liability claims including verifying coverage, conducting investigations, evaluating liability and damages, and developing resolution strategiesEffectively analyze, formulate and communicate coverage positions and decisionsEnsure all claims are managed in accordance with claims department service standardsSet appropriate and timely reservesAssist underwriters with prospective business opportunitiesWork with attorneys, brokers, and insureds regarding the proactive handling and resolution of complex claimsPrepare reports and other communications on potential exposure both within reposting structure and for other departments (e.g. underwriting and actuarial) and company managementDevelop and maintain a panel of qualified business-specific vendors, defense and coverage attorneysAdditional Qualifications3 - 5 years of claims experiencePrior management experienceJD degree preferredSuperior analytical abilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsCompensation $150k+ (based on experience) plus bonus
