Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Experience life in central Arizona's high desert as a travel nurse based in Chino Valley—a destination known for its distinctive landscape, fresh mountain air, and outdoor adventures. Not only will you enhance your skills and diversify your experience, but you'll also have the flexibility to explore scenic landmarks and enjoy meaningful off-the-clock experiences.Schedule/Hours:Shifts are 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.Four-week self-scheduling (subject to final balancing by management)Expect to work at least 2 weekends per 4-week periodHoliday coverage required for major holidays (two holidays and one eve per schedule)No call or standby requiredDesired Qualifications:Active RN license in the state of ArizonaBLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg-Tele experience and 1 year PCU experienceAbility to interpret basic telemetry strips (required to sign off at least once per shift)Familiarity with CHF, COVID, GI, respiratory illnesses, diabetic care, post-cath patients, and total joint replacement casesCerner electronic medical record experience recommended (one shift orientation provided)Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to assignment startUnit experience with BiPap/CPAP and set-rate drips (Diltiazem/Cardizem)Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality nursing care across a 49-bed telemetry/cardiac/medical unitFloat between Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU based on needsCollaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapistsInterpret EKG/telemetry strips and document findings regularlyProvide care to patients with a diverse range of complex diagnosesBenefits and Perks:Tax-advantaged travel stipends, plus personalized travel assistancePremium compensation packageComprehensive healthcare benefits and 401(k)Job security through contract employment in an in-demand specialtyBring your passion for patient care to an environment where scenic beauty meets professional challenge.
