What to Expect
The TSP (Tesla Self Performance) team is the internal construction arm for the Tesla Giga TX factory, with over 1000 employees. In this role you will be supporting the TSP team in managing their activities and be the bridge between the customers (internal manufacturing shops), project controls, procurement, and management. The role requires efficient communication, great presentation skills, highly organized mindset, prominent analytical ability, passion for creativity, strong values that serve Tesla standards. The right candidate has a proven track record of planning and executing multiple parallel complex projects and experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional program performance. As a Technical Program Manager, you are expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy on your programs while contributing to the development of tools and processes that improve the organization’s productivity.
What You’ll Do
Manage the process workflow for all project activities from work request to closing & support the TSP team process workflow while being the point of contact to maintain and improve it
Keep the activities within tracking system up to date and keep the data available for both TSP team and the customer; provide the customer with data as needed
Prepare reports and weekly & monthly summary for customers and management
Create Power BI dashboards that allow for faster analytical transparency
Often taking the lead on leadership reviews, funding requests & cross function investigations and studies
Support the team in budgeting, forecasting, workload, and funding
Communicate clearly, regularly, and effectively with leadership, stakeholders, and internal team members in both written and verbal forms
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
2-3 years of experience in leading large cross-functional teams as Program Manager or Engineering Lead
Project or program management experience (PMP or CAPM Certified)
100% in office support
Experience in construction or industrial environment is a plus
Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan; be the bridge between customer and team to resolve any conflict or miscommunication
Experience with Power BI; Moderate experience in Microsoft PowerApps software / Power Automate & Automation of workflows is a plus
