Remote Physicist - AI Trainer
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Assist individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Conduct outreach for medical personnel or health organizations to implement programs in the community that promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health. May provide information on available resources, provide social support and informal counseling, advocate for individuals and community health needs, and provide services such as blood pressure screening. May collect data to help identify community health needs.
Advise clients or community groups on issues related to diabetes and obesity, improving general health, diet and exercise, prevention, sanitation or hygiene, self care, social issues, education, childcare or problem solving.
Act as a resource to all clients, providers and the community. Attend community meetings and health fairs to understand community issues and build relationships with community members. Distribute flyers, brochures, or other informational or educational documents to inform members of a targeted community. Refer community members to needed health services.
Advise clients or community groups to ensure parental understanding of the importance of childhood immunizations and how to access immunization services.
Advocate for individual or community health needs with government agencies or health service providers.
Job Requirements
Required
High School Diploma
Experience working in the community
Experience with Community Organizations and Home Health follow-up
Ability to work independently, set priorities and manage work within timeframes, read and analyze technical material, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, positive mental attitude
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle highly confidential information essential
Must be computer literate
Will complete Community Health Worker (CHW) or Promotoras training
Preferred
Bachelors Degree
Teaching experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Completed Community Health Worker (CHW) or Promotoras training
