Workplace Education Team RoleWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Workplace Education team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role can be based in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Houston, or Tampa and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As a Retirement Education Specialist and part of the Workplace Education Team, you will be educating plan sponsor employees on their 401(k) plan to achieve client desired outcomes, i.e. increase participation, boost deferrals, and optimize asset allocation. You will work directly with external clients as well as internal partners to facilitate group webinars and in person group sessions, translating plan and investment concepts into actionable financial wellness strategies. Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams to organize and host education sessions
Customize and maintain PowerPoint presentations, scripts, and speaker notes aligned with plan features and industry standards
Stay current on retirement and financial topics to ensure accurate and effective presentations
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree
3-5 years of experience in 401(k) or financial services
Knowledge of retirement plans, legislation, and investment principles
Ability to travel to client sites up to 60-75% annually (this will likely be less during onboarding and then will ramp up)
Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with plan participants and plan sponsors
Strong public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail
What makes you stand out?
Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Zoom and Teams) and Microsoft Office Suite

We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact on colleagues, clients, and communities.
