Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE)This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ.What You Will Do:Drive continuous product/process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including, but not limited to: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Product & Process Verifications, and Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.Ensure flow down of product & process requirements to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works (SOW).Identify risk in the supply base and develop robust and executable supplier engagement plans to mitigate these risks.Communicate and interpret technical requirements as the liaison between the supply base and Engineering for drawing changes, and disposition of nonconformance to ensure supply base understands and complies with contractual requirements.Implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), including FRACAS investigations and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)Oversee and/or conduct on-site Source Surveillance, Source Inspection, First Article Verification, and Corrective Action reviews.Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk, as applicable.Communicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetings.Drive quality activities and support as part of hardware management teams and participate in a cadence following up on quality initiatives and metricsAbility to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate domestic travel (Up to 50%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.What You Will Learn:Managing diverse supplier base across multiple commodities (Electrical, Mechanical, Energetic, etc.).Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Problem Solving: Enhance skills in identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing effective corrective actions.Regulatory Compliance: Navigate the complex landscape of industry regulations and compliance requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop collaboration and communication skills by working closely with various teams to align on quality and performance goals.Continuous Improvement Practices: Implement and advocate for continuous improvement methodologies, enhancing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and validating compliance (ex. hardware inspection techniques, documentation reviews).Previous experience conducting RCA and implementing corrective actions.Previous experience using quality tools (ex. Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping).The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing GD&T, and industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.).Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.Experience conducting and completing AS9102 First Article InspectionsExperience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement tools.ASQ certifications.Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance with the ability to obtain program access after start.What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
