This role focuses on transforming an early‑stage cloud environment into a resilient, automated, and secure multi‑cloud platform that scales with the business. You will be responsible for designing, engineering, and operating shared cloud foundations across AWS and Azure, with a strong emphasis on landing zone architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and long‑term platform sustainability. This is a builder role for someone who enjoys creating durable systems that enable dozens of teams to move faster and safer in the cloud.What You’ll DoCloud Platform ArchitectureDesign and implement enterprise‑grade cloud foundations across AWS and AzureEstablish scalable account and subscription models, including organizational structures and lifecycle managementBuild and maintain shared platform services that support workload teams across environmentsEnsure platform consistency and governance intent across cloud providers while leveraging native capabilitiesOwn the ongoing evolution of the platform through upgrades, refactoring, and technical debt reductionInfrastructure AutomationDevelop and operate cloud foundations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments using Git‑based workflowsAutomate environment provisioning, baseline configuration, and decommissioningEnsure all platform changes are repeatable, tested, versioned, and auditableSecurity, Governance & ObservabilityImplement preventative and detective controls using native cloud governance mechanismsEmbed identity, access management, and least‑privilege patterns into the platform by designEnable centralized monitoring, logging, and observability at the platform levelSupport audit, risk, and compliance requirements through automated controls and standardsCollaboration & Technical OwnershipServe as the primary hands‑on engineer responsible for platform design and reliabilityPartner closely with architecture, security, networking, and application teamsTranslate architectural direction into working, production‑ready platform capabilitiesContribute to internal standards, documentation, and enablement materialsWhat We’re Looking ForRequired ExperienceStrong hands‑on background in cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineeringDemonstrated experience designing and operating AWS and/or Azure landing zonesAdvanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practicesExperience managing multi‑account or multi‑subscription cloud environments at scaleSolid understanding of:Cloud networking patterns (hub‑and‑spoke, connectivity, DNS)Identity and access control modelsEnterprise cloud security and governance conceptsSoftware‑engineering mindset with experience in version control, modular design, and code reviewAbility to work across teams and communicate platform standards clearlyPreferred ExperienceOperating cloud platforms in regulated, audit‑sensitive, or enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with:AWS account vending models (Control Tower, custom automation, or Terraform‑based approaches)Azure management group and landing zone design patternsExperience building automation and pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar toolingExposure to enterprise observability platforms and centralized monitoring solutionsComfortable helping organizations transition from ad‑hoc cloud usage to standardized platforms
