Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker who can independently build, assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, try out, and repair tooling. The ideal candidate has strong experience with progressive, line, and/or transfer dies and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable, and production-ready tools that meet customer specifications. What You’ll Do · Build, assemble, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tools and dies used in a production environment. · Read and interpret blueprints, CAD designs, part data, machine prints, models, sketches, and related technical documentation. · Analyze metal-stamped parts and progressive die strips to determine tooling adjustments, repairs, or improvements needed to meet specifications. · Compute dimensions, plan layouts, and determine assembly methods and sequence of operations from engineered designs. · Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine details and verify conformance to specifications. · Verify dimensions, alignments, clearances, and tolerances using proper inspection and measuring practices. · Test completed tools and dies to ensure proper fit, function, quality, and customer specification compliance. · Recommend design or process improvements related to tool construction, fit, function, reliability, and manufacturability. · Work collaboratively with team members to solve tooling issues, reduce downtime, and support production goals. · Maintain a focus on quality, accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For · Two (2) years of related tool and die experience and/or equivalent training combination required. · High school diploma or GED required. · Completion of a college, technical school, or apprenticeship certificate program preferred. · Experience working with progressive, line, and/or transfer dies preferred. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, part data, machine prints, and technical specifications. · Experience operating manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, shapers, and grinders. · Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and troubleshooting ability. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements This position requires standing, walking, and the ability to perform medium to heavy lifting. Candidates must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment and perform the physical requirements of the role.
