Traffic Control Plan (TCP) Permit Specialist We are looking for a remote Traffic Control Plan (TCP) Permit Specialist to join our team! The TCP Permit Specialist position encompasses:Permit application processing using the engineers provided work prints and work descriptionsTraffic Control plan design based on the engineers proposed work and the municipalities requirements. We are looking for a creative, collaborative, confident drafter that is interested in learning traffic control design. If you are comfortable using AutoCAD basics, willing to learn, then we are willing to train.Job Responsibilities:Perform research to determine proper traffic control plans for each unique project.Analyze current designs and make modifications to facilitate needs of the customerPrepare and maintain new or replacement business permit drawingsResearch and map databases using Google Earth, GIS, County Maps, etc.Skills/Experience Required:Must be organized, prioritize workload, and meet deadlinesWork in a professional manner - independently and collaboratively, within a team environmentGood command of the English languageGood written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsUnderstand and follow instructions as givenAbility to prioritize, handle multiple drafting projects with a strong attention to detailStrong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office SuiteSkills/Experience Desired:AutoCAD experience is strongly desiredPublic Works and Civil drafting experience preferredFamiliar with Reading Civil Plans and BlueprintsTelecom drafting experienceA thorough understanding/experience in the Outside Plant telecom industry, public right-of-way, private easements, existing utilities such as water, sewer, electric, gas, and other underground and aerial utilitiesKnowledgeable in city, county, state and local municipalities encroachment permits, Traffic Control and specialty permits, easement right away and various environmental permitsMust be able to interact with the local municipalities, Telecom engineers and construction/maintenance personnel to acquire OSP Records, ICGS, Assessor Maps, map info, AIS and Construction PrintsProficiency in AutoCAD, base-mapping, GIS, and layeringFundamental knowledge of Outside Plant, conduit and cable design for copper, fiber optics, manholes, hand holes, Make-Ready Engineering, and poles (aerial and underground)Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential duties of the positionTwo years AutoCAD experience, desiredRequires passing Background CheckPhysical Requirements:Alternate sitting and standing at will (sit/stand desk)Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Requires viewing a computer screen for long periods of time.May lift or carry small parcels, packages, and other items.Benefits: Group Medical Plan along with voluntary Dental and Vision Plans, 401k/Roth Savings Plans with a company match.Pay Range: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, DOE
