MRI Coil Repair Technician
Main Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and maintain repair processes for MRI coils following QMS RequirementsEnsure repairs are completed following these proceduresMaintain and update the repair knowledge databaseTroubleshoot and resolve RF circuitry issues to the component level in a timely mannerAssist in conducting MRI repair studies and make analyses of the cost effectiveness of potential improvementsTrain staff in repair methods and procedures, as directed or necessaryConduct reverse engineering OEM cables and reproduction - using to repair or complete coil (MRI)Understand and draw schematics of cables, documenting appropriatelyHave knowledge of various connectors and contacts and their applicationsProficient with soldering iron and de-soldering process Dexterity and sufficient mechanical ability to assemble and reproduce small partsAbility to reverse engineer OEM cables and reproduce themIdentify cable types and apply knowledge of in-house cable materials to closely match OEMExcellent communication skills with persons of all levels of the organizationKnowledge of FDA 21CFR820 and ISO 13485, as well as other applicable requirements, including company procedures and how they relate to job duties and responsibilitiesOperate, interpret, and document QA Scans on MRI QA Bay to functional test MRI coilsJob Requirements:Education and ExperienceExperience in medical electronics is helpful, but not requiredMinimally a GED, highschool diploma preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Auto CAD, Solid Works, and circuit layout tools preferred, as well as other software programs as neededSolder certified or on-the-job training equivalent, preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced office/warehouse settingAbility to manage multiple prioritiesOrganized and detail-orientatedA proactive, hands-on strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilitiesActively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properlySuperior troubleshooting and analytical abilityDemonstrated ability to perform tasks and coil repairs under pressure.Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits at the component level (not at circuit board level).Thorough understanding of electronic circuits, with the ability to read and interpret schematics.Experience with electronic test equipment such as multimeters and network analyzers.Electronic circuity at the component level.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general publicExcellent communication skills with people of all levels of the organizationReasoning AbilityVery High Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
