Join us!SYRACUSESyracuse Athletics and Legends are engaged in a 10-year partnership that will integrate data andanalytics, marketing, 'Cuse Athletics Fund annual giving, premium seating, and general ticket sales initiatives into a single revenue-driven approach. Legends will manage all aspects of the 'Cuse Athletics Fund annual fundraising program. Legends' unique fundraising platform, an essential service embraced by higher education, identifies effective fan and donor engagement strategies to amplify philanthropic giving and other opportunities. The partnership will also ensure that the Orange build upon their legacy of supporting student-athletes in the classroom and on the playing fields. Legends will also team with Syracuse University's Falk College of Sport to provide education, mentorship, and career opportunities to students.THE ROLEThe Ticket Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season, group, and premium ticket packages for Syracuse Athletics. This person should be a self- motivated and positive professional. The Ticket Sales Representative will work under the direction and guidance of the Director, Sales & Annual Fundraising.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe candidate will be responsible for offering a full menu of seating opportunities for SyracuseFootball, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball ticket packagesCoordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through provide leads, prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customersEffectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactionsParticipate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessionsWork in conjunction with Syracuse Athletic Department and Ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.Assist with any administrative ticket functionsAssist with any special projects or duties as assigned by Director, Sales & Annual Fundraising.Setting and conducting in arena and out of the office appointmentsMust be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game daysThe candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goalsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Excellent professional verbal and written communication skillsMaintain a professional image and positive attitudeServe as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organizationAbility to learn and master software programs including Salesforce CRM and Ticketing platformAbility to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emailsCandidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skillsCandidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the bestAbility to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C-level clientsProficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPointCandidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sportsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.* Minimum 1-2 years' experience in sales or sports industry experienceSKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emailsAbility to generate new business from companies and individuals not currently supporting Syracuse Athletics.Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the bestStrong time management and organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organizationExcellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills a mustAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining organized, efficient and calm under pressureAbility to prioritize and meet competing deadlines independentlyProven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentCOMPENSATIONCompetitive hourly ($17.00 - $18.00) plus bonus potential, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.WORKING CONDITIONSLocation: On Site - Syracuse, NYPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
