Mechanical EngineerWe’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of custom automated production equipment supporting a next-generation residential energy platform. This role sits at the intersection of mechanical design, automation, and manufacturing execution, focused on building, improving, and scaling real production systems.This opportunity is within an exciting company developing a distributed residential power system designed to replace traditional backup generators with always-on clean energy. Their technology combines advanced materials, automated manufacturing, and high-temperature energy systems to enable scalable deployment of next-generation energy infrastructure.Responsibilities - Mechanical EngineerOwn mechanical performance of custom automated production equipmentDesign and modify tooling, fixtures, and precision mechanical assembliesTroubleshoot equipment issues impacting yield, quality, and throughputSupport automated systems including additive manufacturing and robotic handlingDrive continuous improvement in reliability, cost, and manufacturing efficiencyWork closely with technicians, engineers, and external suppliersSupport line ramp-up, new equipment builds, and NPI activitiesTranslate prototype processes into repeatable production systemsExperience & Skills - Mechanical EngineerExperience designing or supporting custom manufacturing or automation equipmentBackground in advanced manufacturing, robotics, precision systems, or similar environmentsStrong mechanical design skills with CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or equivalent)Experience with small precision assemblies, motion systems, or gearing mechanismsSolid fundamentals in mechanics, materials, and heat transferHands-on troubleshooting mindset with design → build → test experienceComfortable working directly on production equipment and with shop-floor teamsBonus: experience with robotics (FANUC), pneumatics, motion control, or additive manufacturingIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV to the application below.
