In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, devices, and processes. You will collaborate regularly with the design team to create efficient and reliable solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to new product design and prototype development projects, making a tangible impact in a dynamic work environment with approximately 25% travel. ResponsibilitiesDesign products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robotsCollaborate with design team to create sketches, layouts, and plansUse CAD software (SolidWorks) to create preliminary and detailed product drawingsDevelop product specifications and select raw materials and componentsBuild and test models and prototypesAnalyze test data and benchmark against similar designsDevelop control systems and monitor production processesDocument design processes and maintain project records Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's degree preferredProficient with CAD software, specifically SolidWorksExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong mechanical and technical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in mechanical engineeringMaster's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in mechanical design and prototype developmentStrong technical problem-solving and analytical abilitiesEffective communication and organizational skillsDetail-oriented approach to engineering tasks
